봉투, 퍼포먼스 12016, 2019, 2023
관객앞에 선다.
눈을 감고 잠시 마음을 가라앉힌다.
관객들 한 명 한 명에게 편지봉투를 나누어준다.
봉투안에는 이런 문구가 적혀있다.
1 : Prenez une minute pour réfléchir à votre souffrance du fond du coeur.
(당신 가슴 속 깊은 곳에 있는 고통을 1분동안 생각하세요)
2 : Criez dans l'enveloppe. (봉투 안에 소리를 지르세요)
3 : Fermez l’enveloppe. (봉투를 닫으세요)
다시 관객 앞에 서서 쪽지를 속으로 읽는다.
나의 가슴 속 깊은 곳의 고통을 떠올린다.
봉투 안에 소리를 지른다.
나의 봉투를 닫는다.
관객들의 봉투를 걷는다.
큰 봉투에 작은 봉투들을 넣고 닫는다.
그 봉투에 불을 붙인다.
불이 꺼질때까지 그 고통들이 떠나기를 기도하는 마음으로 지켜본다.

[Performance Sequence]

Preparation: I stand before the audience, closing my eyes for a moment to settle my mind.

Distribution: I hand out envelopes to each member of the audience. Inside each envelope, the following instructions are written:

1: Take one minute to reflect on the suffering deep within your heart.

2: Scream into the envelope.

3: Seal the envelope.

Participation: Standing before the audience once more, I read the instructions to myself. I recall the suffering deep within my own heart, scream into my envelope, and seal it.

Collection: I collect the envelopes from the audience.

Consummation: I place all the smaller envelopes into one large envelope and seal it. I then set the large envelope on fire.

Observance: I watch the fire until it is completely extinguished, holding a prayerful heart that those sufferings may depart.
